Slipcase is bound in green cloth with gilt title, color plate laid on front. Slipcase cloth is lightly soiled, otherwise without flaws. Rewald's text attempts to establish a chronology for the watercolors and places them in historical context, illustrated with 52 color plates and 645 B&W plates. 487 pages includes a concordance relating catalog numbers of Venturi's 1936 volume and Rewalds's.
