Description: AGATHA CHRISTIE - PARTNERS IN CRIME, published by UK publisher Collins, copyright 1929, First Printing (states "Copyright, 1929" on copyright page with no references to subsequent printings - there was only ever 1 printing with this particular board color format), lists to "The Mystery Of The Bluer Train" to left of title page, black cloth boards with redish orange lettering & outline to spine and front board. Book has just a couple of creased page corners, no former owner or used bookstore markings/stamps inside, evidence of partial repair at top to internal hinges otherwise clean endpapers with no staining or tape residue, no foxing to pages or endpapers, slight age darkening/dust soiling/foxing to outer page edges, tiny bit of wear to "Collins" at bottom of spine otherwise no fading/wear to lettering on spine or front panel (common defect with these early Collins 1st print books), no wear to board edges, almost no wear to board corners, slight wear to bottom spine tip corner only, bit of wear-through of cloth at exterior hinges (another common defect with these early 1920s Collins books), almost none of the usual dust/handling soiling to cloth boards, no spine fading, bumped board corner. Book also comes with a color fascimile of the UK 1st issue Dust jacket to provide protection from damage and to improve its appearance on a shelf. Overall a VG book of a rare 1920s era UK Agatha Christie 1st printing of a rare 1920s U.K. Christie. I have a number of other U.K. and U.S. Agatha Christie 1st printing hardcover books up for sale.

It is a rather enjoyable work for connoisseurs of the genre, as Christie writes each story in the style of another detective, including Sherlock Holmes, Father Brown, her own Hercule Poirot, and Dr Thorndyke, amongst others.
