Description: Small octavo, original green cloth lettered in gold on spine panel, top edges gilt. Pp [i-vii], viii, 165 [166: Printer's Imprint] [167-168 blank] + 16 page Publisher's Catalague "List of Books in Belles Lettres 1893" bound in at rear. Title page illustrated by Aubrey Beardsley. A small slip tipped in at the front endpaper states "Pagan Papers: By Kenneth Grahame / Of this Edition 450 Copies have been printed for England". The delicate green cloth covers have faded along the spine panel and towards the edges of the front & rear covers, as is usual with this book; very slight wear to spine tips. A very good clean copy, internaly fine. The author's first book, a collection of essays and fantasies.
