Condition: Fine

Description: Signed by Author(s) A really fine book in a really fine DW, this is a first English edition/ first English impression in absolutely fabulous condition. The only flaw is a small ink mark on the reverse of the FEP which has been tipexed out but is still visible on both sides. The bookplate is one of two given to by PETER STRAUS who was the great mans publisher at PICADOR. This was the great writers second novel after "THE ORCHARD KEEPER". This is a great read and you can see how he was progressing towards his later books "BLOOD MERIDIAN" and "THE ROAD". This is NOT an ex-library book, it is NOT remaindered and is NOT foxed the pages are clean, bright and tight. The bookplate is loosely laid in on the titlepage. A rare find, in pristine condition.
