Description: A lovely, first edition copy of this poetry collection by Vita Sackville-West, in the publisher's original binding. The first edition. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding. An important poetry anthology by noted English author and garden designer Vita Sackville-West. Including titles such as 'Mariana in the North', and 'Escape'. Vita Sackville-West is best known for her pastoral epic titled, 'The Land'. She was also the inspiration for the main character of 'Orlando: A Biography', by Virginia Woolf. The half title page is present. With two pages of 'By the Same Author' advertisements to the rear of the book. With a bookseller's label to the front paste-down. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the extremities. Age-toning to the edges of the boards. Fraying to the spine. The title plate to the spine is darkened with some loss. Marks to the boards, heavier to the rear board. Bookseller's label to the front paste-down. Offsetting to the free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age-toned but otherwise very bright and clean. The odd spot throughout. Very Good

Light toning to board edges, still bright, a little foxing edges, otherwise internally clean. A very good copy in the slightly tanned dust jacket, with a few minor chips and short closed tears to extremities, unclipped, overall a well-preserved example of this fragile jacket.
