Textblock composed of the author's own hand made 15 x 20 course laid paper. Lacking supplementary (separately issued) ream wrapper reproductions. Copy number 159/375. A detailed and beautifully illustrated exploration of the history of a somewhat obscure, collectible type of ephemera. Papermakers aimed to impress, investing in a high level of artistry. These often elaborate paper mill labels have given historians a glimpse into a very old and ever-adapting industry.
