Description: 976pp. Quarto [26 cm] Light brown leather with raised bands and red and black gilt stamped leather spine labels, and double blind ruled borders on the covers. Volume 1 only. Good only. Ex-library, with evidence of marks having been removed. The spine and covers have numerous dark stains. A notation has been blacked out with marker on the bottom edge of the text block, and a notation has been rubbed out on the title page, leaving several thin open tears in the page. There is a previous owner's small label on the front pastedown. The pages are clean, and the book is very sturdy. "Compliments of James J. Hammond" slip bound in at the title page. A volume covering Motions, Bill of Rights, Education and School Lands, Elections and Suffrage, and Apportionment.
