Signed by Sendak to the lower right.This print was from a series of 200 images printed as a part of a project with 19 different images from eight different books comprising of Sendak's own favourite images. Sendak selected images he felt could exist on their own without the text.With the number 56 to the rear of the print.This print is titled 'Off to Bed without Their Supper'.Sendak is best known for 'Where the Wild Things Are', which this image is from. Sendak is best known as being one of the first children's authors to deal frankly with the fears and anxieties of childhood. He has been referred to as 'the Picasso of Children's Books' and his pictures are represented in major collections worldwide. Very bright and clean. With just some minor shelfwear to the edges. Fine
