Description: First British edition and first printing. Hardcover. 164 pages. Along with "The Grapes of Wrath" this is one of Steinbeck's most beloved novels. An about very good in cloth boards with a small former owner signature to the front free endpaper and with splitting to both the front and rear hinges and in a fair dust jacket with a half inch chip missing from the top of the spine, and some other chips and tears and some ill advised tape repairs to the verso. Seemingly fairly uncommon in this edition.
