Description: The rare first Canadian edition published Aug. 12, 1915 from the Doran (US) first issue sheets and one day before the UK edition. Original owner's neat signature at the middle of the front free end paper and 'Xmas 1915' at the lower left corner. Some shelf wear to the lower board edges and heel of the spine, slight wear to the vertical spine edges and the corners, light age-toning to the text block edges and slightly loose but still fully intact front hinge; otherwise a very good copy clean internally, with clean unfaded green boards and no wear to the gilt on the front board or the spine.
