Description: A lesser-known novel by Charlotte Bronte who wrote it using the "Currer Bell" pseudonym. All 12 lovely color plates by Dulac are present. Green cloth with faded spine lettering & a little wear to it's top and bottom w/slight rubbing to the extremities. The is a now-yellowed newspaper article laid in the has stained the front endpapers; cover is a tiny bit cocked.

In a dust jacket (mostly), uncommon thus even in a partial jacket. Text is tight and clean. Lettering to spine bright. Faded white area along front and rear board top edges. In a Good - dust jacket w/loss of half the spine (bottom), front panel detached from spine, toning to spine and rear panel. Previous Owner's Name and gift reminder/date (1924) to front free endpaper.
