Forward cock to spine, previous owner's inscription, neatly rendered, by ink-stamp at first free endpaper, and residue from former bookplate inside front flap and recto. "M[ichael]. A[angelo]. Titmarsh" is the pseudonym of William Makepeace Thackeray. 221 pp., with a publisher's ad regarding another of Thackeray's works. Fine-looking gilt illustration to front cover, blind-stamped designs to covers and spine. Lovely hand-tinted illustration at frontis, "A Street View of Constantinople," protected by a present but detached tissue guard.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
