Description: This is Anne's account of her flight from North Haven, across the Arctic Circle to Alaska, then Russia, Japan and China. She states that it is not a technical account, as she is not qualified to write one. Her story contains 244 pages followed by an Appendix which includes a list of emergency equipment used in a forced landing on land and one on sea, equipment used in a parachute jump, and emergency food carried on the plane. There is also a flight log dated from July 27, 1931 to October 2, 1931. The book is in near fine condition. The pages are clean and free of all marks, tears, and folds. There are no signatures but there is a previous owner's stamp on the inside cover. The dark turquoise cloth cover shows a silver plane on front and silver title and author on spine. It is clean, the corners are sharp, binding is tight. But there is some light scratches on the back cover.

Lindbergh; frontispiece; original blue cloth stamped in silver on spine and upper cover; silver dust jacket printed in blue on the spine; previous owner's 1935 signature on front free endpaper, minor wrinkling at the edges of the jacket and one or two miniscule teras, but in all a fine copy in a near fine jacket. The account of the 1931 flight by her and her husband, Charles Lindbergh, from the United States to Japan and China, by the northern route over Canada, Alaska, and Siberia. It also documented their volunteering flights as relief efforts for the infamous Central China flood of 1931. The jacket is unusual - not the one ordinarily seen. This is the second time I have had this jacket - both came out of Minnesota, and it may have some connection to Lindberg's home state.
