A landmark collaboration of two of children's books most beloved talents, Ludwig Bemelmans and Munro Leaf, with a quiet wisdom and humopr that continues to hold true today. Noodle is a little dog who's very long from front to back and very short from top to bottom, which makes it hard for him to dig for bones. Small ink ownership signature on pastedown; tiny shallow brown semicurlar spot affects the front free endpaper and succeeding few leaves; otherwise slean, tight and sound. The dust jacket is tanned and has numerous small chips and a larger triangular one at the bottom edge of the front panel, 3/4" deep, plus other creasing and use. The book is signed by Munro Leaf on the front free endpaper.
