Description: Fireside Theatre Book Club Edition, 128 pages, a few b/w production photos, jacket edgewear. Set in a rundown tourist hotel in Mexico in the summer of 1940, the play is a story of human frailty and hidden strength. Presented at the Royale Theatre in New York, 28 December 1961, starring Bette Davis and directed by Frank Corsaro. Williams, 1911-1983, was America's foremost dramatist of the postwar era. Known for his realism and symbolism, he won 2 Pulitzer Prizes and is best known for The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Dust Jacket condition very good.

Description: Quarter black cloth cover with green boards has small very faint staining near top edge of front board otherwise clean, bright, and in very good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Small damp stain to upper corner of front paste down through first 5 leaves. Pages are otherwise clean and pristine. Book has never been cracked open. Dust jacket has a damp stain near the top edge of the front panel and a very tiny bit on the very edge of the back panel with light wear to the extremities but in good+ condition. DJ protected by a brand new, clear, acid-free mylar cover. We add mylar covers to all books with DJs to preserve the DJs and add luster to magnify their beauty.
