Loose pages laid in at illustrations to reduce transference. From a limited edition of 275 copies, with 250 being for sale. This is copy number 23. (Chanticleer, 109) A scarce limited edition, with an interesting provenance. From the private collection of C.G. Littell, with associated letter from the proprietor of the Golden Cockerel Press, Mr. Christopher Sandford. In the letter, Sandford acknowledges a criticism of Mr. Littell that the book was printed with "entirely too much ink." Sandford agrees and offers to change out the book for him.
