Description: 1925 Hardcover Reprint. Many sellers incorrectly identify this edition as the first edition. It is not. The first US edition was published by Boni & Liveright in 1925. This edition has the same size and contents (but without the 8 color plates) as the Boni edition but has different covers. Original beige cloth with dark brown lettering and decoration front cover, dark brown letterng and emblem spine. The book has some darking to spine areas where the DJ is lacking, generally clean covers, EP cracked paper at hinge but hinge is quite strong with solid mesh, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, solid binding. The original dust jacket lacks the top 7cm of the front panel, lacks bottom 4cm and top 3cm of spine. The book measures 248mm tall x 171mm, and has 544 pages, 165 b/w sketch illustrations by author, index. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
