Umber paper-covered boards with a black cloth spine; gilt titling on the spine and Dreiser's signature in gilt on the front cover. Clean text; xi, 385 pages. There are fifteen "symbols" by Hugh Gray Lieber. Light soil, mildly bumped, light rub to spine margins. A solid copy, somewhat less common than the limited version. Lacking the dustjacket. First Edition. Half-Leather. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by Hugh Gray Lieber. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

A near fine copy, slightly rubbed and bumped in very good dust jacket with a few small nicks and short tears, else quite fresh and bright.
