Description: Quarto. 9 x 12 in. 15 pp. Very good in original Disney-illustrated wrappers, with slight rubbing and scratches on the front right cover, and gentle wear around the staples. The pages have overall age-related toning but remain clean. The illustrations are bright and all of the game pages remain intact. This copy has green borders on the front cover and the additional comic on the back cover, and contains the censored "Mickey Mouse Song" lyrics as described by Overstreet.

The true first Mickey Mouse book illustrated in three colors by the Disney Studio and presenting Mickey's origin story written by 11-year-old Bobette Bibo, the daughter of one of the publishers. Rare.

Green and black pictorial paper wrappers with minor rubbing along the spine for what is really an amazingly fresh and clean copy of the book that is almost unheard of in this condition. Sixteen numbered pages within for this very first Disney licensed publication. The book contains "The Story of Mickey Mouse" which is a story of how Mickey met Walt and got his name, "Mickey Mouse Game" which is complete and uncut, "Mickey Mouse March" and "Mickey Mouse (You Cute Little Feller)" which is a song whose lyrics had to be censored in later printings! The condition of this book is NEAR FINE. An exceptional copy.
