Description: First Printing Near fine in printed white cloth covered boards with black text and decorations on the spine and with wrap around printed art work on the boards and spine. A small quarto of 9 by 6 5/8 inches with the cloth at the head and heel of the spine modestly crimped inward. In a very good+, unclipped dust jacket with 1/4 inch chips from both ends of the spine area and very small chips to the fore corners of the panels over the tips of the boards and with several spots of very light rubbing to the front panel. This copy conforms to Binding A as per Paul R. Bienvenue's incredibly well document and researched bibliography: The Collector's Guide to L. Frank Baum & Oz. Also as pointed out by Bienvenue, it was only Binding A which had a dust jacket. 303 pages of text and illustrated throughout with black and white, line art vignettes by Dick Martin. A very bright and clean copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind. (Bienvenue, p.142)

Clean and VG+ in a bright, price-clipped, VG dustjacket. Several small, minor chips along the jacket tips and one small closed tear along the jacket front fold. The date-of-publication, "1963", also written neatly in felt-tip across the spine of the jacket. Still though, a perfectly presentable and attractive copy. Octavo, 303 pgs. Nicely illustrated thruout by artist Dick Martin.

One bottom corner bumped, another lightly nudged. Yellow endpapers illustrated in brown. Unmarked interior. "$3.95" to front dustjacket flap, and photos of the authors to rear flap. Very light edgewear to dustjacket. Half inch closed tear to dustjacket's back bottom corner. Protected in mylar. A sharp copy in rare dustjacket.
