Description: - Octavo, 9-3/4 inches high by 7 inches wide. Hardcover, bound in brown cloth with a gilt device stamped on the front cover and backed with a red leather spine titled in gilt. The book is housed in a peach slipcase titled in gilt on its spine. The top edge is gilt. The slipcase is soiled and the head of the book's spine is lightly bumped. 284 & [2] pages plus the colophon, illustrated with black and white textual illustrations and 8 color plates by Paul Hogarth. Near fine in a very good slipcase. Number 368 of a limited edition of 1600 copies. The book was printed at The Curwen Press, London. It was illustrated with lithographs by Paul Hogarth and is SIGNED BY THE ARTIST.

Signed by Hogarth on the limitation page as issued. This copy designated "J.P.T." rather than numbered on the limitation page (perhaps an ad personam copy though none such mentioned). Issued with actetate dustwrapper and slipcase. Rear board with glue-drop stain; dustwrapper spine with perforation and two one inch tears, toning and small chips. The slipcase has a small indentation on one panel. Near Fine condition in a Very Good dustwrapper.
