Bookplate on the front pastedown of Janet Ann Ross (1842Ð1927) an English historian, biographer, and friend of the art historian and writer Bernard Berenson. Each bookplate is stamped 'Massa-Carrara'. Slight rubbing at spines, some browning to endpapers and slight foxing in the text, overall sound, close very good set. An attractive set of books.
