Description: Previous owners signature (Henry Siebert, Oct. 25 1873) present on front end-paper and name stamped on front free-end paper and inside front cover, this is the second issue of the first edition, still a difficult book to find. The spine and spine hinges were covered with an archival type paper to reinforce the spine hinges , which show signes of splitting. Some of that paper covering has chipped off the spine itself revealing the original green cloth binding, the appearance is really not that bad. 47 pages plus one-page ad in the back for the Galaxy Magazine, which Mark Twain sometimes supplied articles for. Humorous illustrations, book overall is in really nice condition with a nice stamped design around the borders of front and rear covers. 47 pp plus one page of ads at the rear of the book.
