Description: First UK edition. Originally published in the US by Harcourt, Brace & Company in 1926. Fraying at the top and bottom of the spine which is a little darkened. Some discolouration to the boards along the top and fore edges. Spine lean. Page edges browned with some scattered spotting. Endpapers heavily browned Light spotting to the succeeding pages and there are brown spots in a number of places through the book. No jacket. First printing.

Binding is full blue cloth with orange title and author stamped on front panel and faded orange title, etc., to spine, with slight wear to head and foot of spine, and corners square but showing wear. No Dust Jacket. 5" x 7 1/2". 308 pages. A romantic adventure novel, inspired by Lewis's 1924 travels through Manitoba and Saskatchewan, in which a New York lawyer falls for a married woman in remote Saskatchewan. Made into a film later in 1926 starring Clara Bow.

Description: A New York City lawyer's journey into the wilderness brings unforeseen interpersonal drama. Stated third printing. No writing, marks, or underlining except for a name penciled on the front free endpaper. No bookplates. There is some slight browning and foxing to the pages. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. There is some bumping to the corners and edges of the spine. Boards have retained their blue coloring, though the spine has browned and faded a bit. Also, there appears to be a moisture stain (2" x 1-1/2") along the lower left corner of the front board and along the lower right corner of the back board. However there is no associated puckering. There is no dust jacket. This collectible, very good, first edition/third printing copy is protected with an archival mylar cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
