A limited edition volume of Shakespeare's early comedy Loves Labour's Lost. With an introduction by the thespian Harley Granville-Barker, and eight colour plates, collated and complete. The present volume is number 271 of 450 copies printed in 1924. Aside from adjustments to modern typography, the Player's edition of Loves Labour's Lost is printed literatim from the First Folio of 1623, and is followed by stage plans and five colour plates illustrating scenes from the play. In the publisher's quarter cloth binding over hard boards. Externally lovely, with some light bumping to the top edge of the front board. With a little edgewear to the wrap, particularly at the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Near Fine
