Description: Missing DJ, book binders tape repair to rear edge of slightly discoloured spine, corners slightly bumped, old ink price of 1 shilling to front endpaper, some foxing. Two indents to front cover where at some point in the book's history it appears it was used to support a wonky circular table leg! ; Assumed first printing of Popular Edition from May, 1921. Therefore the first edition of Wodehouse's rewrite as states: "Popular edition entirely rewritten by the author" and has dedication by author explaining his reasoning for the rewrite. Green cloth boards with black lettering to front cover and spine and publisher's emblem to rear. Good reading copy, no names inside. ; 256 pages; Written when he was 25, Love Among the Chickens launched P. G. Wodehouse's career as a comic novelist in 1906 and introduced the world to Uckridge, one of his most extraordinary inventions. This revised version is narrated entirely in the first person, the first five chapters of the original being in third person, and has a slightly different ending.
