Description: For extra pictures of the more valuable books, please press the 'Ask Bookseller A Question' button. Our website enables you to see a maxiview of the picture. You can use the go button on our homepage with the book reference 7635 to access the book. You will see from the maxiview picture that the condition of the top and bottom of spine and the corners of the boards are all excellent. In reality the yellow ochre of the boards is slightly stronger in colour and the markings are if anything exaggerated. This is not markings in the sense of dirt or external blemishes but appears to be a slight orange colour that is presumably a reaction between the cloth and the glue used by the bookbinders. Interestingly the front and rear pastedowns are clean with foxing restricted to the free end papers. There does not appear to be any foxing noticeable within the book and the pages are clean and bright with crisp corners. The top edge is a light pink and the fore and bottom edges are pretty clean and bright. There are no inscriptions. The lettering on the spine appears to have oxidised slightly - see picture. The title page is undated. The verso has "First pub in mcmxxxii by Faber & Faber Limited 24 Russell Square London W C 1 Printed in Great Britain by Butler & Tanner Limited Frome and London all rights reserved". Yellow ochre boards in very good bright clean condition, with little marking. 286pp. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs. We have split our books into 70 + categories. Size: 5" - 7.5" Tall

Condition: As New

Description: A mint copy in a wrapper which has two small repaired chips .A beautiful copy showing before and after. The book has green lettering and there is no sign of oxidation so I think that the green lettering exists in its right . It would be normal for the first issue to be gilt and there must be an issue with silver lettering which perhaps oxidises to green .All the wrappers I have seen have books with green lettering so if nothing more I feel that it was the more common Language: eng
