Description: 1/473. Quarto. 53, [1]pp. Original half suede over paper covered boards, with gold lettering on front cover. Frontispiece protected with a tissue-guard. Title-page in red and black lettering and with hand-colored illustration. Limitation page inscribed and signed by editor Elbert Hubbard "To Michael Monahan who is a Group of Irish Poets, with the love of his friend". Hand-colored initials. This work is profusely illustrated with 12 photogravure reproductions of Turner masterpieces made from negatives taken especially for this book, at the National Gallery in London. Each of these photogravures is protected with a tissue-guard. Age wear on binding with boards detached from book block, but still present. Spine missing. Suede rubbed, and rubbing along edges of binding and corners. Free front endpaper detached and chipped. Binding in overall poor, interior in good to very good condition.

Frontispiece with printed tissue guard. Title page printed in red and black with red vignette and original watercolor in in lower right half of page, initialed and dated 10/14/97. List of photogravure reproductions of Turner masterpieces with original watercolor endpiece, enhanced with gilt. Decorative initials and endpieces, enhanced with watercolor. The photogravures are printed from negatives of photographs taken at the National Gallery in London for this book. Spine reinforced with black library tape. Some wear along edges. Frontispiece, title page and colophon all but detached. Else interior in very good condition.
