Description: HARDBACK - EX LIBRARY COPY - A good or better copy bound in the red library cloth covers that are clean. Internally, the book has the usual library stamps to the title page and to the rear end-paper. Surprisingly, there are no stamps to the copyrite page. There is a withdrawn from library stamp to the front end-paper, with some light paper surface loss to the front paste down. Toning to the page block, but internally quite clean and fresh. The dust wrapper is also in good or slightly better condition with no loss but with a couple of small closed tears. There is rippling to the wrapper and mild creasing. Please see the pictures. The publisher's printed price of £12.95 is present to the top corner of the front flap, and the US price of $18.95 is present to the bottom corner of the same flap.

A clean, fine copy. First US edition, first printing, signed by the author on the title page. Title page cancelled, as issued, showing the British spelling "Licence". This copy is from the significant Ian Fleming collection of Martin Schøyen (b.1940), with his bookplate. Schøyen's private collection of manuscripts, which span all cultures and all time periods, is one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind.
