Description: First UK edition. Edited by Willi Haas who also provides a preface. Translated by Tania and James Stern. Fading to the spine with a narrow one inch long strip of discolouration to the right edge and another smaller patch on the opposite edge. Light rubbing at the top and bottom of the spine. Rubbing to the corners of the boards. Browning to page edges with a little staining to the top edges at the back of the book. Original owner's name and address on the front free endpaper - this was Adam Kendon, one of the world's foremost authorities on the topic of gesture. There is also a small stain at the hinge on the endpapers - in the same area as the discolouration on the edge of the spine - and there is a tiny bookseller's stamp to the bottom of the front pastedown. The pages are a little browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. No jacket. First printing.
