Description: Former library book rebound in heavy red buckram cloth covered boards. Undated 1935 Grosset & Dunlap, Universal Library series. The covers are in great shape showing only light rubbing to the edges and a hint of fraying to the corners. The binding is tight. The title page and first contents page are taped where tears occured. A few pages are chipped, dog-eared or have small edge tear. The interior pages are sparsely marked. No dust jacket. The book will be carefully packaged for shipment for protection from the elements. Sixteen pages printed on linen-like paper in full colour throughout with illustrations by the Staff of the Walt Disney Studios. This Comic Book is recognised to be the first time that Donald Duck (still with his elongated bill) was the main character in his own story. Mickey Mouse's nephews show Uncle Donald Duck a few tricks about diving and at the same time enjoy a pleasant swim themselves. 8 leaves, the outer forming the wrappers, colour illustrations. A very good copy with a short closed edge tear (to the bottom edge) and a repaired (1" x 1") edge chip to the right hand edge of the front cover neatly repaired on the verso with filmoplast (following sympathetic removal of an old tape repair). Mickey Mouse's nephews show Uncle Donald Duck a few tricks about diving and at the same time enjoy a pleasant swim themselves. 8 leaves, the outer forming the wrappers, colour illustrations, some soiling and marks, outer corners of wrapper creased (small loss to rear cover at the top left hand corner), rear cover fore-edge very slightly frayed, several pages with short closed tears to the top edge now imperceptibly strengthened on the verso by archival tape, spine reinforced by archival tape (prior to being re-sown) .
