Copy R of 26 lettered copies Signed by the author. Additionally Inscribed on the half-title to friend and editor Harry Ford: "Harry / with affectionate thanks / strong good happiness / from Reynolds Price/ 29 December 1968." Harry Ford was an editor at Atheneum, publisher of Reynolds Price's early trade publications. Harry Ford also designed most of the Reynolds Price titles published by Atheneum, and Price dedicated his play "Early Dark" to Harry Ford and his wife. A nice association.
