In a very good dust jacket with a few small dirt stains and some light edge wear including tiny paper loss at base of spine, some tiny edge tears and a fingernail type tear along front hinge near top of spine. Not price-clipped.

Description: An early 1960s 1st thus ( dark green boards w/black lettering) of Burroughs' 6th Pellucidar (inner world) novel. The DJ, frontispiece, and 6 internal illustration are by Roy G Krenkel. The book is from the library of iconic Burroughs bibliographer Henry Hardy Heins, with his book plate laid in. Light dustiness to the tops of the pages. Otherwise minimal wer to both the book & DJ. However the DJ flaps have been glued to the paste downs. A nice copy with a significant flaw but a notable association.

Fantasy adventure set in Pellucidar at the centre of the Earth during the Stone Age, and the modern-day subterranean prospector who accidentally ends up there. Sixth title in the Pellucidar series of novels.

Canaveral allowed printers to use any available cloth to save money. From an edition of around 3000-4000 copies. A very fine copy in a like clipped dust jacket, jacket with brodart cover. Description: Although this press did publish some original Edgar Rice Burroughs first editions, this is a reprint of the 1944 publication. First printing by this press, it is accompanied with a check from the account of Edgar Rice Burroughs, attached to a light cardboard backing, SIGNED by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The volume is lightly bumped on the spine ends and bottom front corner, and the rear pastedown has a triangular area (1"x 3") where the binding glue was not applied. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a sleeve, has light edge wear and a bit of toning to the spine.
