Four full page color illustrations by Ray Bethers. Small octavo. White flexible boards with titles in red on front and black on spine. In glassine wrapper. Housed in folded board portfolio with spine title in gilt, and then housed in a slipcase. Cover fine as has been proected by glassine and slipcase. Glssine is very good, portfolio and slipcase very good. Light foxing to endpapers and margins. Prospectus is fine. Prospectus states that this is "The first Club book to be produced outside the United States. Printed in two colors from Garamond type, hand-set, on Richard de Bas handmade paper" Very Good in Very Good Slipcase

Printed in France for the Book Club of California by the L.D. Allen Press. Laid in is the annoucement edited by Edith M. Coulter. An absolute fine copy bound in stiff paper wraps in the original glassine wrapper, housed within publisher's chemise and slipcase. An exceptionally nice copy.

With the original glassine dust wrapper, chemise and slipcase. The slipcase has a small bump to one of the spine’s edges. The book is bound in the French style with flexible covers and enclosed in an attractive slipcase with title stamped in gold.
