C'est à l'âge de 77 ans que Marc Chagall, grand amateur de musique classique, réalisa l'un de ses chefs-doeuvre, la fresque du plafond de l'Opéra de Paris. Cet ouvrage est illustré de 7 lithographies en couleurs dont le frontispice et deux double-page. In-fine est inséré une planche dépliante. Manque le rhodoïd et l'étui cartonné, la page de titre et le frontispice se détachent, l'intérieur et la jaquette sont très frais (infime accroc). Marc Chagall (1887-1985), artiste Français né en Biélorussie, est un des plus illustres représentant de l'école juive russe du début du siècle, marqué par le folklore de son pays. Ses oeuvres puisent inlassablement au répertoire folklorique yiddish des shtetls et de la musique kletzmer. Formé en Russie, son style est à la charnière du cubisme et du fauvisme. Livre
