Description: 8vo. Wrappers. 190pp. One of 1000 copies (of 1276). Cover collage by the author. 'I don't know how in hell some of them were written but they were, here they are, and if you read them in succession you'll see my changing record'. Plus a foreword by Robert Creeley. Slightly worn, the wrappers with moderate creasing and mild soiling, the spine also with a faint crease and a little rubbed. Some peripheral soiling internally, the contents clean nonetheless. This copy has the ownership inscription of John James.

The postcard, to "Dear Fred and Bea Siegal," declines a visit stating: ".I'm up to my eyeballs in literature, and just don't see anybody now. I simply have to conserve energies. I've made commitments. which keeps me from writing my new book, and makes me angry and frustrated no end. I wrote a book about my relationship with Kline. Also did a likewise subjective book on Blk Mtn. now a novel abt success & simultaenous(sic) personal failure. Don't depent on me. Love [unsigned, but with Dawson's typed return address]."
