WELLS H.G.. Kipps. The Story of a Simple Soul. , 1905.

Price: US$2254.46 + shipping

Description: First edition. 8vo., original green cloth. London, Macmillan and Co. Inscribed by the author: ?To Fred, from his Brother? H.G. was the youngest of four siblings, the only girl among them dying at the age of ten. Fred was the middle boy, and went through the same process of apprenticeship to shop-keepers as did H.G., before emigrating to South Africa, where he seems to have made a reasonable fist of things. The two brothers seem to have been on good, though not overly close, terms. An excellent copy.
