Edition limited to 2000. Edges minimally rubbed and soiled, very light scuffs, lacking laid-in decals. Former owner ink signature on the title page. First printing. An early survey in a suitably energetic presentation, with many subway-context photos by Tseng Kwong Chi. The exhibition and this publication helped launch Haring's rocket to fame. Scarce on the market in either edition.

Two small flaws on the front cover (see scan). Laid in: the rare sticker reproducing the front cover, 8.9 x 9.2 cm, and the sticker's loose backing. The bottom 3 loops of the binding have been straightened. The double-spread on yellow paper exceeds the size of the scanner, and the scan is cropped on the right side. 2000 copies of this first edition and 5000 of the second edition, 1983.
