Printed end pages are faded around edges, especially front and back unattached pages. Cover is lightly worn, with some light spotting on back and faded edges of paste-on. Spine is faded and worn. Front cover is ripped at inside seam but binding linen is in tact and holding cover together. The 4-page gathering before title page (Princess Dorothy illustration and Kabumpo full color plate) are ripped out (not attached, but still present). Overall book is in good condition, pages are clean and unmarked, binding is otherwise sound. 12 full color plates, glossy on picture side only. Illustration captioned "Princess Dorothy" is in front of book and Kabumpo illustration is at back. Standard ampersand on spine. Elephant on mock title. Top corner of page 259 is chipped. The binding has been reattached and the endpapers replaced by a professional bookbinder. Corners bumped and worn. Rubbed and the spine a little faded.
