Durrell, Lawrence. Justine. E.P. Dutton, New York, NY, 1957.

Price: US$25.55 + shipping

Condition: Near Fine

Description: Hardcover, with dust jacket. 7th printing. 8vo (5.75 x 8.25 in. Reddish textured paper over boards, black titling on spine. Near fine condition. Flaw is on lower spine where missing jacket paper has allowed sunlight to fade the paper. Nice corners with beautiful pages in a binding that only slightly gives. The dust jacket is deep pink, graphical, with white and black elements. Spine is black with white titles. Rear jacket features praise for the first three Alexandria Quartet volumes, indicating that this 7th printing was made post-1958. The jacket looks good with light surface wear and some edge-wear. The main problem is a missing portion of paper at the spine-bottom. Not price clipped. All in all, a decent copy of the first volume in Durrell's classic quartet.
