Description: First UK Edition. Publisher's original dove-grey cloth with black lettering to the front board. Minor fading to the spine tips and the bottom couple of millimetres of the front board and the usual offsetting to both sets of end-papers overall a VG+ copy. `In the RARE D/W with a 1.5 cm chip from the top of the spine and miniscule chipping from the base. The D/W is partially foxed to the front panel. Four page introduction by the Author followed by more than 80 portraits of dogs printed on one-side only on heavy light-brown art paper. A much nicer copy than normally seen of this classic set of dog drawings in Cecil Aldin's inimitable style in a combination of brown, white and black. A nice copy. Looks most attractive in its shiny brodart protector. Photographs/scans available upon request.
