Description: Black letters on red cloth. 318 pages; 4 b/w glossy plates of illustrations. The spine strip's ends, the top ends of the joints, and 1 1/4 in. of a board edge are frayed; the boards' front corners are less so. The last page(s) is missing, which was either blank or an ad. 7 pages have large stains, mostly on the margins; several other pages have a small stain, and several have a crease line on the top corner. The front endpaper has two 1/2 in. water stains. The text block ends have darkened. Scans e-mailed upon request.

Some dustiness, edge wear and mild chipping but the front panel is pretty clean. Some thin transparent tape repair at the head and heel of the spine panel and to two corners. Description: The first reprint, bound in standard G&D red with black lettering on the front cover and spine. In Good Plus dust jacket. The color dust jacket and four interior B&W plates are by Studely Burroughs. Top stain is green. 318 numbered pages followed by 4 pages of ads. Edges of pages starting to yellow, two small stains on fore edge which is slightly dust soiled. Spine of dust jacket is dust soiled and color faded, though lettering is quite legible. Light shelf rubbing and dust soiling to front & rear panel. A few tiny closed tears on edges.Tiny chips out of spine head & heel. (w)

Jacket reverse lists 34 Burroughs' titles.
