Description: Ten volumes complete, bound in dark green publisher's cloth with gilt lettering to spine and front covers, top page edges gilt; all volumes clean tight and unmarked save for Christmas gift inscriptions on upper edge of front free endpapers, and volumes III through Vol. X bear the tasteful Art-Deco style bookplate on the front pastedown of Erich Cramer Stern (February 8, 1879 ¿ February 18, 1969), an American politician and lawyer, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. All volumes appear to be First printings, with the date at the foot of the title page matching that of the copyright [save for Vol. X, which has no date on the title page but the gift inscription is Christmas 1914, same year as the copyright]. According to BAL, the First printings have the publisher imprint on a separate page after the end of the text, and this is the case for all 10 volumes. The first 9 volumes have the date range only on the spine, while Vol. X has a gilt "X" on the spine in addition to the dates. All in FINE almost As New condition, some partially unopened
