Hardcover.  Blue boards soiled and shelfworn with pencil marks to spine strip and light mottling to front cover.  Internally, end-pages age toned with a previous owners name penciled to verso of frontispiece otherwise, aside from an occasional smude and slight age-toning to paper, a good clean copy.  The binding is tight and hinges intact. Overall a good solid copy. *Number 9 in the young adult series, started by L. Frank Baum, but continued after his death in 1919 by Emma Speed Sampson.
