Description: One of 140 copies designed by Lewis and Dorothy Allen. 14 folio sheets folded in half to form 28 leaves. 49, [2] pp. printed in orange, black, blue and green. Each page of the text is head by passages written in ancient characters: JONAH in Sumerian; JUDITH in Jacobites of Syria; and RUTH in Hebrew. The leaves are unsewn and laid into a brown Fabriano wrapper which is lettered in gilt on the front. All is contained within a handsome, cloth drop-back box lettered in gilt on the front and wrapped in a protective cover. An attractive typographic specimen in fine condition. The prospectus is present, but shows a central, horizontal fold from mailing.
