Description: 1 of 200 copies, "not for sale." A eulogy for John Emery, consisting of 4pp. of text (2pp. by Zachary Scott & 2pp. by Steinbeck), plus a portrait photo. illustration. On the title page, it reads "as read at the services.", followed by a typewritten correction "in New York City, November 18, 1964", laid down over the original, incorrect date. Quarter leather & decorated paper boards. A very good copy, with light edgewear.

Description: 8vo. Privately printed in a small edition of 200 copies as an eulogy for actor John Emery. Includes the texts of readings by Zachary Scott and John Steinbeck. Quarter leather over patterned red and gold boards. Issued without dustwrapper. Fairly minor wear to board edges, small tape shadows to pastedowns else a bright near fine copy. Now protected with a clear acetate wrapper. A somewhat uncommon Steinbeck-related item for completists. Correction to date on the title page using a somewhat clumsy paste-over.

Not in the Goldstone collection, Morrow 364. Contributions by Scott and Steinbeck were eulogies read at Emery's funeral in New York on November 18, 1964, with a b&w photo portrait of this actor. Rare. Two short memorials to the actor, one by John Steinbeck. both presumably read by Zachary Scott. One of 200 copies, none of which were for sale.
