Hardcover has green paper-covered boards with gold spine lettering. Black and white illustrations. Black and white plates. 287 pages. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped. One small nick in near the spine on the back cover. Covers have light surface and edge wear; Dent in top edge of back cover near spine. Bookshop sticker on front endpaper. Fore edges of pages have a few small tan spots. Pages clean and unmarked. Pages lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. Dust jacket has light edge and surface wear, with light wrinkling at the corners and spine ends, with a few brownish stains. Cellophane covering on jacket surface is wrinkled and bubbled; jacket is now in clear plastic dust jacket cover. Jacket is price clipped. "Handlist of Jack Lindsay's books" at end. Third volume of Lindsay's autobiography. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.

Description: 8vo pp. 12 287 plus 5 pages of B&W plates containing 17 images. Ten line drawings are contained in the text. There is a 5cm tear to the bottom of the dj and its original glossy covering is delaminating at the hinges. A couple of pages were damaged at the time of printing.
