Description: Small 4to, vi + 24 full page b/w plates by Arnold Genthe. Hardcover in slipcase. The pictorial slipcase is in reasonable condition with split to side of spine and wear to top and tail of spine and edge. Black buckram binding in fair condition with old water damage to bevelled boards and spine. Inside sadly mostly disbound , title page a little loose with old damage to top corner. All other pages and plates with top edge gilt are however are in very good /near fine condition.

Stella Wanger [1866-1931] is the mother of famous Hollywood producer Walter Wanger [1894-1968], who launched the careers of many famous stars, including Elizabeth Taylor, Henry Fonda, and Richard Burton.
