John Ryder also designed the book. Set in Monotype Baskerville and printed on Zerkall mould-made paper, bound by Alan Wood at Grgynog. Ryder (1917 - 2001) was one of the foremost British book designers of the 20th century. Intimate Leaves reveals the wealth of Ryder's experience as he explores and analyses letter forms, bindings, the printed page, and the very way we read books. Foreword by Jan Morris. Illustrated with drawings by Quentin Blake, Hans-Joachim Burgert, Michael Harvey, Lilly Lee, Hans Schmidt, Maurice Sendak and Posy Simmonds. Condition: fine.
