Allen Ginsberg for Elbert Lenrow Oct 7, 1980." Lenrow was a professor at the New School who became friends with Jack Kerouac while he was still a student. Kerouac in turn introduced him to Allen Ginsberg and Neal Cassidy, who would often gather at Lenrow's Central Park West apartment for informal discussions about life and literature. He later penned a book about his friendship with Kerouac and remained in contact with Ginsberg until Lenrow's death in 1993. A nice association.

Included is a handwritten note on decorated paper from Finnish poet Anselm Hollo (1934-2013). Hollo asks Ginsberg to write a review that will interest Allan Komblum, founder of Coffee House Press, in publishing his book. Near fine in a very good dustjacket. Not priceclipped and no markings. Someone, quite possibly Ginsberg himself, has handprinted "ALLEN" before "GINSBERG" on the jacket spine and added "CITY LIGHTS" to the lower portion, suggesting this may well have been Ginsberg's personal copy
